Every woman wants sexy legs, but many forget the importance of exercising their calves. Kompliqué is here to offer you the best workouts to achieve the sexy defined calf muscles you have always wanted.

Calf Raises

If you’re headed to the gym, stop at the squat rack and grab a calf box. If you’re not sure what this is, ask any trainer, they can point you in the right direction. Once you have your box, set it up underneath the squat bar and stand on top. Set the bar to shoulder height, load it with a medium weight, lower your heels off the edge of the box, and begin pushing the weight up by standing on the tips of your toes. You can also do these with just normal hand weights, or just the weight of your body.

Sprints

Basic running tones your entire leg, but to work your calves more, add sprints to your workout routine once a week.

Jumping Rope

This exercise forces you to stay on your toes, which works your calf muscles. Start off with 1 or 2 minutes before your normal workout routine and build up to 5 or 10 minutes.

Barefoot running

Try to find a smooth surface to run on such as a beach, golf course or football field. Take your shoes off and run barefoot for 10 to 20 minutes. You will be surprised at the workout your claves get. 

Always make sure to warm up thoroughly before any workout for at least 10 minutes. It’s also best to do only one of these exercises each day to avoid soreness and injury.
